Well folks, I hope you’re ready for some jet fuel in the air and for your dog to be perpetually terrified, because fleet week is upon us. If the fighter jets buzzing your apartment didn’t give it away, fleet week honors the US armed forces with a number of events culminating in an airshow this Saturday.

Once the show wraps up you have a critical choice to make: call it a day or keep the party going. So strap on your flight suit and find a good rooftop because you’ll want a good view of the bay for this one. Dig in:

If you’re catching the show at Marina Green, Fort Mason, or Crissy Field odds are you’ll need more sustenance than the High Noons you’ll be drinking all day. Luckily, Lucca Deli has all of your big fat sandwich needs plus the fun extras you’d expect from one of SF’s premier Italian delis.

You’ll need to grab a ticket from the counter and loiter for a little bit, but use that time wisely to game plan your order.
